Boys to Men...
Yeah we lost but I wish everyone of you could of been on that bench to witness what was happening

I'm never one to make excuses for anything but let's be realistic for a moment, we had 9 players dressed and were playing a team that we dominated all year and they were out for revenge. Now first and foremost I'm sure everyone noticed a new #87 in our lineup on Sunday so let me clarify. Before I'm run out of town no we did not trade our beloved Brendan, due to injury and vacation March break the time change the blublonic plague or whatever else you can think of we had a depleted team and in order to not forfeit the game we needed a call up, and man alive what a choice we made ladies and gentleman may I introduce Mr. Jack Valvasori a major peewee player for our farm team who accepted the challenge and was absolutely spectacular giving everything he had every shift and had zero fear, a true warrior who can play for me anytime so thank you Jack.
Now the game, our men gave everything and I'm sure everyone seen that. From the drop of the puck the men back checked forechecked played a positionally sound game we had our chances but again not a single bounce went our way. Now with players double shifting and defense getting no breaks they exhaustion started to kick in and with that we started making little mistakes that normally would not cost us but when your exhausted it Kent disaster. Besides Owen's thunderous blast from center we really couldn't muster anything on the offensive side.
But game aside and the end of any chance at super Saturday I wish everyone could of seen or heard the bench, the players deciding themselves who was fresher and changing the lines and just never ever giving up. I truly believe they believed they could still win although their legs were dead mentally tired and the Habs  kept throwing fresh line after fresh line our men never gave up. And if you really think about it 8 bantams and 1 peewee only lost to a full team of bantams who finished 2nd in the standings 4-1, and the 4th was an empty net.
As a coach I've never been more proud than when the team comes together and supports each other.
