Information (Chedoke Minor Hockey)

Fair Play

New for 2019/20
All Novice players city-wide must register at Coronation, Rosedale or Mountain.

Please see below for information about registering at Chedoke. You may also find some answers to your questions in our Parent FAQ.

Registration for the 2019/20 season will open for online payments only starting March 9.

We offer a hockey program in four non-contact House League divisions and, where numbers warrant, non-contact Select teams.

Registrations will be accepted as space permits. Registration numbers are regulated by the Hamilton Minor Hockey Council. Parents are encouraged to register early to ensure placement and to assist the league with preparing evaluations, rosters and uniforms.

Players new to Chedoke Minor Hockey must submit a copy of a birth certificate. These should be emailed to [email protected].

Players transferring to Chedoke from another league may be asked to submit a Residential Move Form. Our Registrar will contact you if this is required.

New OHF Player Development Model

Starting in the 2018/19 season, there was a split in the Novice age group. A new Minor Novice program guided by the OHF's Player Development Model (PDM) was offered specific to seven year-olds. The traditional structure remained intact for eight year-olds.

Shared ice, multi-station practices and modified ice games are key components of the PDM for Novice-aged players and younger. You can read the details of these changes HERE.

Starting in 2019/20, programming for all Novice-aged players (born 2011-2012) will be guided by the PDM. This unique program is not offered at Chedoke this year but is offered at Coronation, Rosedale or Mountain.

The registration fee for 2019/20 is $440 for Atom, Peewee and Bantam, and $485 for Midget.

During March and April, families have the option of paying on a payment plan. The payment plan is available via online registrations only.

In March, the payment plan consists of a first payment of $140 (Atom, Peewee, Bantam) or $185 (Midget), followed by 3 equal payments of $100 charged to your credit card on the 15th of each following month.

In April, the payment plan consists of a first payment of $140 (Atom, Peewee, Bantam) or $185 (Midget), followed by 2 equal payments of $150 charged to your credit card on the 15th of each following month.

Starting May 1st, full payment is required and there is no payment plan available.
