Undeserving Tie
When you do everything right and the hockey god's still frown on you

After our previous debacle and 4 days in Myrtle beach where my cursing vocabulary reached university professor levels I really didn't know what to expect from our boy's. But after Seba told me coach JP bag skated and ran a tight practice I was hoping they got the message.
Well whatever the case what an absolutely awesome performance from everyone, even coach Underwood who once again refrained from hopping on the ice to pick up the pen cover right through to Goetzie who took care of who was sitting next. We started strong getting the puck deep in the flyer's end and peppered their goalie with shot's and once again Derek turned away any answer they had. Todo opened the scoring unfortunately I was writing something and only heard the dinner bell and then the cheers but I'm assuming it went bar down. The flyer's answered with a beauty on a breakaway. But that didn't discourage the boys as Matteo made an incredible rush where he was not going to be denied and beat the flyer's goalie with a knuckleball to put us up 2-1. The flyer's who must of sacrificed a chicken to the hockey god's tied it up and took the lead with 2 flukie stinkers that seemed to take the wind from our sails but as usual Cap was having none of it as he made rush after rush weaving his way through their team like a hot knife through butter (been dying to use that phrase) only to be snake bitten every time but his efforts became contagious as Coppola and Stevie along with Jake stepped up their game and shut down any momentum they had and you could feel the game switching. Seba who has been awesome on the back check all year made some rushes to try and get things going as well as Tom Brady who was limited to only 10 chances this game but was stellar in our end. Owen who played D yesterday was just amazing in getting that puck up to the wingers. (Start the Rocky theme song) at this point in the game Cap went on another rush looked up to make a pass but seen we were making a line change so dipsey doodeled through five guys (he's got more moves than a belly dancer) and tied the game at 3-3. Not to be out done Todo put us ahead with under 3 minutes to play getting his first multi goal game and capping off his best game of the year. Now for the heartbreak the flyer's who were grasping at straws took a shot from just inside the blueline and it deflected off the D mans stick and over Nashers  shoulder to tie the game 3 cheesy goals that Nasher didn't have a chance at left the game tied 4-4. But the scoreboard doesn't reflect the effort and heart every single player put out there. I am so proud of them that I've decided not to give up on golf but to put just as much effort and heart as they did into my game (but I'm not giving up my vocabulary when I find water or sand or tree's or bushes or miss 3ft putts, I'm sure you get the picture...)
Great job parents most notably Lorna with the cowbell, everyone else take note let's see how many cowbells clappers or triangles we can get for next game......
