Playoffs are here
Well we started the playoffs on a positive note, the only team we did not beat all season and we drew them for our first game of the playoffs and although we didn't win we also didn't lose tying the Bruin's 2-2 to get our first point off  of them

The Star's had a different look about them Sunday, in case you couldn't put your finger on it we were missing John (Toe Blake)Rillo and his thunderous echo of SHOOOOOOOT!!! on the bench. In his place was the mild mannered calm displacement of Bruce Underwood who to his credit fought temptation and did not step out on to the ice to pick up a piece of tape during play way to use self control Bruce. (Love ya Rilly). As for the game a tight one for sure the goalies stingy the players cautious but a sweet move by Pazzie and who sauced an incredible pass to Brendan Maconetimer (now people you might want to sit down for this) who buried it bottom corner to open up the scoring. Some sloppy passes led to a breakaway and Nasher tried hard but couldn't get those phone polls together fast enough. At this point the boys played some solid "D" back checking and causing havoc Nasher settled in and saved our bacon(mmmm bacon sorry on a diet) a few times as our heads left the game for a stretch. But steady play from Francis "Coppola" Jakob, Todo and Matteo brought us back. As some might know Pazzies dad is a musician and Liam insists on showing us his favorite instrument The Triangle as he dinged the crossbar the post and anything else that made the dinner is ready sound...Brendan on only his 38th chance hit the crossbar and with Pazzie in perfect position cleaned up the garbage to take a 2-1 lead some late heroics and a perfect shot that Nasher had no chance the game ended 2-2.
Our MVP of the game was Liam Pazzie Pasinato with 1G 1A 4 posts 3 crossbars and a partridge in a pear tree played possibly the best all round game I've ever seen him played all know he can score at will but to make the players around you better is the sign of a true MVP.
Well done parents but was not as loud as last week oh yeah Rilly wasn't there...
