Well that was an ugly one
I am at loss for words, I have no idea who were in our uniforms last night but it sure wasn't the young men who had every team talking. I have never been a win or loss guy but more of a effort coach.
I honestly could care less about wins or loses what I consider a successful game is putting forth the effort that that gives you the best chance to win. Last night the coaches seen the writing on the wall before hand, guys weren't even dressed when the Zamboni was on the ice, we just didn't bring it. It was a frustrating game to watch cause we know as coaches we are a better team talent wise but talent only takes you so far as the Bruins showed us hard work and determination beats talent everytime. We started slow and never found the next gear. I tried hard thinking of a positive I could take out of this game and use it as a learning experience but it was nothing technical it was just a lack of effort. Hopefully we can shake this off and come back in 2 weeks stronger.
Player of the game has to be Bruce Underwood who had printed out the best looking team labels I've ever seen and made my game sheet filling much easier.
Also I would like to welcome Lorna Pasinato to the staff as she has stepped up to be our manager and will be getting in touch with everyone about team budgets.
Also would like to welcome Gavin Mills to the Knights, we accuired Gavin in a trade for Justin Paul we are heart broken to see Justin go but are excited about the skills and experience we're getting in Gavin.
