The Stars have our number
I truly have no idea why we can't seem to put together a decent game against the stars. They are in last place and we can't seem to find a way to beat them. It's very frustrating when you know your team is better than the opposition man for man but can't come away with a victory.
Any team will find it hard to win when they seem to be battling eachother rather than the other team. As I witnessed last night our boy's were more focused on not setting eachother up it seemed to be they opposite we had a 3 on 1 and there was not a pass or even a shot on net. How's that possible 2 on 1's with no passing , no headmaning of the puck it truly seems that they were more focused on not letting eachother get points for some reason. I was warned from other coaches about putting up the stats but I am a firm believer in transparency and find it exciting to see the players see their progress. With that being said it was our last regular season game and playoffs start next weekend. I will not be putting up the stats.
On to the game we just had little going on throughout the game flashes of brilliance few and far between. #97 Ozzy finally was able to relizre that he doesn't have to deke every single player in order to score as he potted one with a shot. Our second goal game from#34 Seba who made a rush and went short side to make it 4-2 Stars. But goal of the night came from #8 Agostino who unleashed a devastating Slapshot from the point that went shelf. Unfortunately those were the only highlights from an otherwise ugly game.

#87 Tim was at his best assisting on our second goal and basically giving everything he had every shift.
