Regular Season Has Begun
With the exhibition games now over the real games have begun and true to form the Flyers had a 3-1 lead for the third straight game only to come back to gain a point in a 4-4 tie with the Chedoke Stars.

The Flyers played host to a very strong Stars team that has some top notch goaltending. The first period was a tight affair with neither team not giving much space or time. The Stars opened the scoring midway through the first with a nice goal. The rest of the period was dominated by the Flyers with speed and puck possession and the Stars had no answer for it. The Stars goalie was peppered with quality shots and opportunities and stood on his head to keep his teams 1-0 lead going into the second. The Flyers Coaching staff were talking strategies for the second period when #10 Matt chimed in and said "guys we got to get this goalie moving if we want to score". The second period was nothing like the first as the Flyers took complete control of the game and two minutes in our new free agent signing from Uzbekistan's U.P.H.L showed why he was called up to the show and playing with veterans #71 Lico and #19 Pazzy scored his first goal of the year with assists going to the wylie veterans. #10 Underwood put the Flyers ahead 2-1 with a beautiful end to end rush which caused a delay after the goal as arena staff were forced to help clean the ice as it was littered with jock straps. One minute later rookie defenseman #8 Moro scored his first GOALO (see what I did there) and the Flyers were in familiar territory with a 3-1 lead. But the Stars got one back with just 31 seconds left in the second 3-2. The third period was typical Flyers as of late, they seemed to have a brain fart and forgot their assignments and just two minutes into the third while shorthanded my nemesis as a coach and one hell of a hockey player and person Noah Puskas went in on a breakaway and tied the game at 3. The Stars were pumped and started to take over the game chance after chance they bombarded our goalie with quality opportunities but #1 Raffaele was a wall, stopping a breakaway point blank shots and scrambles in front just to name a few (I did find it odd he called me Master Splinter after the game). With five minutes left and the game deadlocked once again Noah Puskas buried the go ahead goal with a howitzer from inside our blueline that Raff had no chance to stop and after the goal Pusky skated by the bench and gave that sly wink that I'm so used to seeing when he plays against me. Less than a minute later #71 Lico who's been playing great for us but has had zero luck around the net finally appeased the hockey gods and got a bounce that went his way (we shall not speak of what he did to that poor chicken on the bench to appease the gods) as he tied the game at 4. The Flyers showed great character in coming back to tie the game but if they decide to play for the whole thirty minutes I truly believe not many teams can beat us if any...
