Finally a full bench but a loss to exhaustion
With the exception of #19 Pazzy who was unable to make the game due to prior commitments the Flyers finally had a full bench. #71 Luca Cifani agreed to terms on the qualifying offer and suited up for his first game of the year. Also absent from the bench was head coach and GM Chad who was in Kazakhstan scouting a player the Flyers have had an eye on all summer.

It was nice to have a full team for the first time this year and the guys seemed to be excited about this as they came out strong and played with a great deal of enthusiasm from the drop of the puck. The second place Bruins led by one of the best players in the league #87 Noah Puskas and superstar defenceman #9 Nolan Mancini seemed to be flustered at the speed and precision of the Flyers in the first as all the Bruins attempts at breaking out of their end were met with excellent positional play by our forwards or a perfectly timed pinch by our D. #55 James Wickham stepped up to the plate and volunteered to play D and did a stand out job for us. The super talented Bruins had their chances but #1Philip Mattaliano who was back in net after a little R&R played great turning aside all shots through the first two periods. Flyers on the other hand are having difficulty finding the net as 56 attempts only came to 16 shots on goal. The second period was more of the same as the Flyers were flying the Bruins looked lost as the Flyers were winning all the battles and buzzing their goalie but not actually hitting the net. But with 3:16 left in the second #71 in your program but #1 in our hearts Luca Cifani lived up to the new contract with some hard work on a great rush taking the Bruins D to the outside and sending a beautiful pass in front to a perfectly positioned #87 Patrick Young who potted his first of the year. The first 5 minutes of the third was back and forth as you can see the back to back games and short bench from Sunday night taking a toll on the guys as simple mental errors started to occur with more frequency and with  just 5:36 remaining the Bruins finally solved Philip. A minute later and the Bruins went ahead 2-1 as the Flyers were done physically the legs were Jell-O and mistakes were plentiful and frustration kicked in as witnessed by the silly unnecessary body checking penalty taken with two minutes left and down by one. The Bruins scored a PP goal and an empty net goal to take the victory 4-1.
