We would like to welcome Gary Dzenekoj as the new Head Coach of the Chedoke Atom Express.
Gary brings with him a vast array of knowledge based on his many years as Head Coach at the Mount Hamilton Minor Hockey Association and years of coaching 3-on-3.
He was the goalie trainer for the Minor Atom Hamilton Huskies for the 2015/2016 season, the Assistant Coach for the 2016 CANUSA 10 and Under hockey team and has a newly acquired D1 Coaching certificate.
Mr. Dzenekoj says he plans on engaging the kids in dryland training as well as many extra exhibition games vs other willing teams to help increase his teams playing stamina.
The team will play in four tournaments this year to help build the kids competitive spirit as well as help develop their ability to play with integrity and build friendships among fellow competitors.
Gary’s drive is to educate his team in aggressing team tactics should prove to make this team exciting to watch as well as stimulating to be a part of.
We know the young hockey players will develop a positive attitude towards their opponents while being encouraged to perform at their very best while under the tutelage of Mr. Dzenekoj.
Gary expressed his excitement in developing a team environment, using peer encouragement, team family member’s enthusiasm, and lots of positive feedback from the coaching staff.
Mr. Dzenekoj says he can’t wait to meet his prospective players and wishes all Atom players a successful year with many great hockey memories.
