Tough end to a great tournament
Chedoke's first finals
Chedoke took to the ice for the semi-finals against Waterloo Wolves early Wednesday morning. Chedoke came out pressing hard only to find themselves down 1-0 early on. The goal woke up the Chedoke team and tied it up at 1.
Chedoke dominated the rest of the game taking the game 3-1. The win gave Chedoke a chance in the finals, still undefeated.
FINAL GAME
The final game played against Caledon who went 3-1-0 in tournament play. Both teams were out to prove they were the top team. Chedoke quickly found themselves behind 3-0 early in the first. Chedoke had a number of chances including a penalty shot which beat the Caledon goalie, but the iron saved the day. Chedoke just couldn't put the puck behind the young net minder. Chedoke showed a lot of spark late in the second period but came up empty. Caledon took the tournament with a 5-1 win over Chedoke.
"The boys played with a lot of intensity, really digging down coming back from being down a number of times. This just shows how much they wanted this and we are really proud of what they accomplished." Coach Jeff stated after the game.
Chedoke is gearing up for the Alliance tournament at the end of March.
Good Luck Boys!!
