Food Drive Challenge During the Winter Classic
Now more than ever, Canadian Families are using Food Banks to help feed their families
After the holiday season, it is essential that we all try to help re-stock the shelves at the food bank.
Chedoke Minor Hockey are proud to once again host our Food Drive Challenge
We are asking ALL teams participating in the Winter Classic to bring your donations to Chedoke Arena during the Winter Classic.
Donations are being accepted from December 27 to 29th at the Registration area upstairs at Chedoke Arena by the fireplace.
Now, as an incentive to help, the Chedoke Winter Classic is dropping a challenge to everyone.
Thanks to a generous donation from one of our sponsors, Chedoke Minor Hockey are offer a grand prize to the Non-Chedoke team that donates the most pounds of food to the food drive.
We are going to give the team that donates the most pounds of food a rebate on your registration fees for the winter classic.
The winning team will receive a $1 rebate for every pound donated to the food drive, to a maximum of $400.
You also have the option, if you wish, to donate the money to the food bank in your team's name.
Our goal this year is to collect 1 metric tonne of food, or 2,200 lbs during the winter classic.
The only item we cannot accept for donation is cases of bottled water.
Everything else is fair game...
