Minor Pee Wee Express Head Coach  Don Hunt

Welcome back everyone to another fun and exciting season of Chedoke Express hockey.  We all hope you and yours will continue to support the strong and great tradition of the Chedoke Minor Hockey League.

The coaches of the Express select teams want to encourage you to bring your hockey player to the select tryouts at the above dates and times.  This is an opportunity for extra ice time for them since many have not had their equipment on since last season.  It will also provides the kids with experienced coaching to assist them in developing their skills.  If chosen to play for the select team, the additional ice time and advanced coaching staff will return dramatic improvements in all aspects of their game, creating a better and happier hockey player for hopefully, many years to come.

Chedoke will be fielding both a Major and Minor PeeWee Express Select team this season.  This is open to all kids born 2005(Major) and 2006(Minor).  Some players born in 2006 may be asked to represent the Major PeeWee Express Team.  NO Major players may play for the Minor team.  Some players may be selected as an AP (Associated Player) in either age group.

Things you should know:

·         Representing Chedoke in the select program requires commitments financially.

o   $250 / start of season; fundraising and sponsorships required

·         Assisting in team management is required by every family involved in the program.

o   Every family can select or will be assigned a TEAM duty.  Info to follow.

·         Every player and parent must adhere to a code of conduct.

o   This will be outlined at the first tryout.

·         Players MUST attend every practise.

o   Or you miss the next game.

Further information will be provided at the Select tryouts.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask Ollie or Don.  We’re the 2 old fat guys on the ice during the house league evaluations.  Hope to see you all at the tryouts.
