First Shift Registration is Still Open
Registration for the Fall, 2025 First Shift Program at Chedoke Minor Hockey IS NOW OPEN

Chedoke's Fall program will be open to 30 players with 30% capacity held for female players to participate.

PLEASE BE PATIENT AS THE HCR IS RUNNING A LITTLE SLOWER THAN NORMAL TODAY DUE TO THE INFLUX OF REGISTRATION REQUESTS ACROSS CANADA TO SIGN UP FOR FIRST SHIFT.

Chedoke's registration portal seems to be running normally this morning so feel free to go to the website and regsiter your players .

As of 10 am on June 3rd, there are still 14 places left in our program for the Fall.

All positions in the program are first come first served.  A waiting list will be created once all spots for either male or female players are filled.

Please read below about the important registration information that needs to be completed PRIOR to registering for your First Shift Program:

Registration for the 2025–2026 First Shift season opens on June 2nd at 12:00 PM ET (noon).

To register, you must have an HCR account — we recommend creating one in advance.

[Create Your HCR Account Here]

If you already have an HCR account, no further action is required.

Please note:

  1. Participants may only be registered for one program. Please ensure you select the correct program during registration.
  2. Children who have previously participated in the First Shift program or have been registered with a Local Hockey Association are not eligible. For questions, contact: [email protected].
  3. No transfers will be permitted between June 2 and June 8.

The registration cost is $299.00 per player for the upcoming season.

The program includes:

Head to Toe hockey equipment for all players, sized and provided through Bauer Canada during our Welcome Event on November 22nd at 1 pm at Chedoke Arena.

6 - 1 hour on-ice sessions provided by Chedoke Minor Hockey to teach the players the basic skills of minor hockey:  skating, passing, shooting, stickhandling which will start 2 weeks after the Welcome Event.

A Transition program will also be offered after the completion of our Fall program, which will continue until the end of the hockey season in March of 2026.  The Transition Program will consist of 8 to 10 1 hour sessions, during the same time slot, to continue skill development of our future hockey players.  There will be an additional cost for the Transition Program, which will be determined closer to the start of the season.

Last year, Chedoke's program sold out in 22 minutes so make sure you have set up your HCR account and are to go when registration goes live at noon on June 2nd.
