Now that our 2023/24 hockey season is officially complete. the entire executive of the Chedoke Minor Hockey League wanted to thank everyone who was a part of our Hockey Family this season.
Hockey teammates and coaches are like a second family for all the time spent together during the season, and I have heard many parents refer to this relationship as their hockey family. As President of Chedoke I am no different.
My hockey family is numbered in the hundreds, and spreads out over 20 years of minor hockey. I have a hockey 'wife', many hockey nieces and nephews, and have formed friendships with players and other coaches that will last a lifetime. It is always great to see former players years later when they walk up to you in the mall to say hello and tell you about everything that they have done. My greatest honor was when a former player introduced me to his girlfriend as his second father.
My favorite memory today is to see a player with an ear to ear smile because they are having fun at the arena playing our amazing game.
We congratulate those who have aged out of U18 hockey this season, and wish all of you the best of luck in your futures after Chedoke.
As you all know, registration is now open for the 2024/25 House League season. If you register by May 1, you can take advantage of our flexible payment plan that is available. In addition, if you register before June 30th, you can take adavantage of our reduced rates for registration in U9, U11 and U13 for the upcoming season.
We are hoping to build on the success of the 2023/24 season and are looking forward to seeing everyone when you return for the 2024/25 season in October here at Chedoke.
