At the last Hockey Council Meeting, Chedoke Minor Hockey informed the Hamilton Minor Hockey Council that we are going to host open tryouts for a Hamilton Based U16 Select Team for the 2022/23 season.
During the 2021/22 Hockey season, U16 Select was not represented at the Provincial Championships by any Hamilton based teams.
At the Hamilton Minor Hockey Council meeting at the end of April, the Chedoke Minor Hockey League announced that we wanted to try a 1 year experiment and host a U16 Select team that would be open to players from all associations in Hamilton to play on.
Although practices and games would be hosted at Chedoke, the team would be known as the Hamilton U16 select team.
Our goal is to make the team inclusive to all players, and to have them play under a city based banner for the upcoming season.
We are looking for your help. We are looking for a team name. And also looking for a colour scheme for their jerseys.
