Tuff loss to swallow
The coaching staff received some bad news yesterday afternoon before the game. #55 James Wickham will be out for the rest of the season due to a medical issue. As coaches priority number one is and will always be the health and well-being of the players. Not only will James be missed out on the ice where he gave his all but his calming posture in the room was a breath of fresh air amid all the testosterone. Get well soon brother and hope to see you next season.

The Flyers found themselves in a all to familiar place yesterday with a short bench. The Stars who were hyped and looking for revenge for a loss earlier in the season were ready to go from the opening face off. With head coach Chad away on another scouting trip to Scotland (thanks for the tip May and Jim) coaching duties were left to Bruce, JP and yours truly Rodger who is the author of the mizspelled and grammar stricken articles that seem to bring joy to editors JP and Bruce (yes those two words were misspelled on purpose).
The first period was not a bad period the effort was definitely there but the execution was just a bit off as the guys seemed to be gassed. The Stars opened the scoring four minutes in with a Habs type goal, a shot that Philly saved off the buttend of the stick and the puck went straight up not in the corners or over the glass but straight up where their player made a nice play and brought it down with his hand and shot it into the empty net. Four minutes later and the Stars went up by two off a hell of a shot that went post and in no chance for Philly.
Second period was a stalemate as both teams had beautiful chances but both goalies were up to the challenge.
Third period didn't look good at the start as the Stars buried another two and a half minutes in to make the score 3-0. But a minute later receiving a pass from #13Jordan #34Seba was determined not to be shutout as he put on a display of hard work and not taking no for an answer as he battled to put one on the board 3-1. With literally nothing left in the tank the Flyers gave their all but just fell short.
