CHEDOKE ATOM EXPRESS CHAMPIONS!
The Atom Express participated in their home tournament, The Winter Classic, over the Christmas break. The Chedoke Winter Classic Atom Division was composed of 8 teams. Chedoke was placed in the "A" pool where they took on Ancaster Avalanche, Coronation Bengals, and Oshawa Hawks Minor Team. Chedoke would win all 3 games, finishing top in the pool.
In the semi-finals, Chedoke would face a tough Mountain Blues team. Both teams battled and Chedoke came out on top 2-1.
In the finals, Chedoke would face Oshawa Hawks Major team who was also undefeated from "B" pool. The game went back and forth ending in a 2-2 tie. The game would have to be decided in a 3 on 3 overtime period. Chedoke put out a strong, talented trio of Jacob, Kyle and Lincoln. The three maintained the Hawks zone from the puck drop.
Jacob and Kyle worked it down low and Lincoln supplied the point coverage. Jacob to Lincoln, Lincoln to Kyle, who was hard pressed by the Hawks D-man. Kyle toe dragged around the D-man and shot it passed the goalie winning it for Chedoke.

We are very proud of all our Boys. Taking the second of 2 tournaments is a huge accomplishment. Looking forward to 2018.
