MAR 11 MVP CHASE EMERSON MCGILIVRAY #6
Today we have 2 MVP'S vs Black. It was a very special game to me because it was all about defence today.
Chase has come so far this year. He's been working so hard and improving his all around skill set. Chase is a special player because he is able to play both forward and defence when needed. Its rare to have a player that can do both, and Chase is one of them. I can always count on him to get the job done anywhere on the ice. He is very skilled and for a young player like Chase to retain everything he has learned for two positions is absolutely amazing. #6 is a natural when it comes to the game of hockey. #6 has such a unique skill set and he amazes me every single week in practice and games. Don't under estimate him because if you do he's going to get you where it counts. Chase is a younger player on our team and when I teach him things in practice he listens and applies the skills needed. One thing I see in Chase is he has soft hands. His puck control is out of this world and as he gets older and keeps developing you're going go want to keep an eye out for this guy. His speed and skating is constantly improving and he might be small and he might be smiling at you but its because he's about to burn you. His hockey sense is awesome and he is always moving forward in the sport. He is a very funny kid and his attitude and smile is contagious. I really enjoy coaching him alongside his father Coach Brenden McGillivray. I am excited to see this boy grow as a person and a player. He is a Shark and will be forever in my books! He fights hard in the corner and along the boards and takes the open ice opportunity when he sees one. He has no fear and is a very tough 2 way player. Thanks for all of your hard work Chase you play a huge roll on this team. Keep smiling 😀
