Great First Game Team!
What a great effort this morning. Coaches liked what they saw out on the ice. There was a lot of very smart passing, team oriented play making, good coverage for rushing defense and super effort from all on the team.
Daniel put on a show between the pipes and kept us in the game and fighting for the lead. Well done all!
The game also gave us the first opportunity to see how we played against an aggressive offensive team. We will definitely want to work on some improvement in our own end as well as transitioning through the neutral zone.
Skaters are bigger and faster this year and we will be working on improving our man to man coverage and our quick break out plays as it is obvious we have some snipers on the team.
Overall, everyone contributed to a hard fought game. We really liked what we saw out there this morning. They all worked so hard we will be giving them next weekend off (haha). There is no hockey next weekend folks, enjoy the holiday.
